Pocket PC's - A Digital Assistant in the Palm of Your Hand
Ever wondered how you could have your own pocket sized assistant with you every day? Well with the new Pocket PC's on the market you can do exactly that. A Pocket PC comes with software customized for the device so you won't feel like you're trying to run an application that wasn't designed for the unit. With your own Pocket PC you can manage your address book, listen to MP3 music, run your favorite application and in some cases make phone calls. That's right, the new Pocket PC's have cell phone and Wireless Internet WiFi capabilities. You can virtually run an office in the palm of your hand.
There are many options to choose from, even Microsoft has a nifty Pocket PC that is sure to delight even the most critical user. Using their world renowned software you can easily install their available software in a snap.
My favorite use for a Pocket PC is as a virtual street directory. No longer will you ever have an excuse for getting lost on the freeways and back roads. With your Pocket PC loaded up with the road maps you can virtually get anywhere. Hook up a GPS unit and it will direct you with directions, left, right, then left in 100 feet -- and if you make a wrong turn. No problem, the Pocket PC will use its software to figure out a new path for you to take.
Another great use for a Pocket PC is as a virtual book. You can download magazines, newspapers and books from sites such as Amazon. Get the most up-to-the-minute information in seconds and never be left out of the loop again!
Confused about which model to choose, checkout the HP iPAQ series, or maybe the Toshiba products. There are also models which now support the Bluetooth protocol so you can use your Pocket PC to control other devices. So if you are looking to bring desktop computing into the palm of your hand, consider a Pocket PC.
